Game Discovery Exhibition 2025 – Celebrating 10 Years of Indies!
Join us for two days of collaboration, community, and professional growth at GDX 2025—Canada’s indie-focused games industry celebration.
Now in its tenth anniversary year, GDX is bigger than ever, bringing together Albertan, Canadian, and global gaming professionals to forge connections, explore emerging trends, and champion the future of game development. This year's event will take place on the 2nd floor of the Queen Elizabeth II Federal Building on the legislative building grounds.
At GDX, we bring together a diverse group of indie developers, industry professionals, and passionate creators to share knowledge, build relationships, and unlock the true potential of game development. This is a space where ideas thrive, connections are made, and opportunities emerge, all with a focus on supporting local talent and independent voices in the games industry.
Join us for a community-driven event where developers, artists, and creators can come together to inspire, learn, and grow.
Opportunities are available to exhibit, sponsor, partner, and volunteer for GDX 2025.
Interactive Arts Alberta is committed to supporting those in need and ensuring that this content is accessible to all, please contact us as at hello@interactiveartsalberta.org if you are from an underrepresented group, recently laid-off, a student, or simply in need of some financial support to secure a ticket to the event. This conference is crafted for the games industry and we recognize that the currently global downturn will have impacted some of our audience. Please reach out and we will work with you to ensure that you are able to attend.
We are honoured to host GDX on Treaty Six territory and in Métis Region IV, the traditional lands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Dene, and Nakota Sioux peoples. Edmonton, known as Amiskwacîwâskahikan" (ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ), meaning "Beaver Hills House," has long been a gathering place for these Indigenous nations as well as the Inuit and settlers who came to the region later on. We respectfully acknowledge the enduring connection to this land that the Indigenous peoples have and the contributions they continue to make to our community.
