The Game Discovery Exhibition
The Game Discovery Exhibition (GDX) is, by attendance, North America's largest indie games celebration. Proudly located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, GDX entered it's tenth anniversary year in 2025.
Broken into two parts, GDX has a two day professional development conference and a ten day indie exhibition co-located with Edmonton's largest festival KDays.
The Conference
October 23-25, 2026
Returning to GDX this year is our signature conference, offering valuable content for developers of all levels, from indie to AAA. With a range of professional development opportunities at an accessible price, this conference is designed to help you grow and thrive. Our 2026 Summits will focus on Building a Better Games Industry, The Business and Craft of Indie Development, Tabletop & Analogue Games, and Indigeneity and Diaspora in Games. We are dedicated to fostering a stronger, more inclusive games industry—one built by and for our community. Join us for expert-led panels and presentations covering a broad spectrum of topics, including art, voice acting, business & marketing, computing science, and more!
The Exhibition

Join over 125,000 casual and hardcore gamers in 30,000 sqft. of jam-packed gaming fun. Exhibitors have the opportunity to join the Alberta & Beyond GDX Steam sale! The Steam Sale is open to exhibitors at GDX as well as Alberta-based developers overall.
