SWORDMONKEY is an Edmonton-based co-development studio for the interactive media industry. They want to make the world laugh while enjoying an exceptionally fun game.

Ode Software (July 18-27)
Edmonton
Ode Software is an Edmonton based indie game studio currently making Highway Hijinks, a roguelike endless runner that takes place in a futuristic post-apocalyptic world. Their team is composed primarily of recent NAIT graduates.

Buffalo Buffalo Labs (July 20-24)

Buffalo Buffalo is a future-forward game studio seeking to make immersive experiences that surprise and inspire. We are releasing Fresh Tracks: a non-stop, music-driven adventure on skis coming to Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X in 2025.

Mikan House (July 18-20)

Mikan House is a fully remote studio based in Alberta and currently working on their first commercial game called Neko House. Their team consists of 8 people.

High Level Games (July 18-20)
Lethbridge
High Level Studios Ltd. is an independent mixed reality development studio headquartered in Lethbridge, Alberta. Since 2023, High Level Studios has developed compelling mixed reality experiences that pair modern virtual reality headsets with smartphone technology.

Verisaria Studios is an Edmonton-based indie game company focused on making tabletop roleplaying games. Composed of over 10 designers, writers, artists, software developers, and other professionals both from within the AAA video game industry and outside it, all united by a shared love for tabletop RPGs.
The studio's flagship product, TraVerse scifi RPG, is currently in open beta and available for sale on itch.io.

Small indie studio started in Montreal, now they are a little spread out in Argentina, Panama, Montreal and Colombia!
Machinator Corp is currently working on Trinity Archetype, a roguelike turn-based RPG.

Main Street Games (July 18-20)

Main Street Games was a group made for a project course to make a game. This game eventually evolved into a Steam game with updated features!
Please check out Fallen, a game about an angel that fell from Heaven and their journey to help people and regain their immortal status.

We are researchers and game enthusiasts who are rethinking how games can be experienced by players of all abilities. Our focus is on advancing gaming through brain-computer interface (BCI) to create intuitive, accessible, and meaningful gaming experiences for both leisure and serious applications. We research how to integrate BCIs into gaming experiences for everyone and how to empower individuals with complex physical disabilities to participate equitably in the gaming space we all love.

Following their 2020 release of Catlandia: Crisis at Fort Pawprint, they are currently developing Catlandia: Skull Gulch: a tactical RPG with cats.

We are an indie studio working on "Bubble UP!", which was originally created at Global Game Jam 2025. Ongoing development has refined our game, and we are excited to showcase our innovative title! We are associated with Lowest Labyrinth Games LTD.

TasteyLunch (July 21-24)

TasteyLunch is a talented team where creative ideas are made into reality. TasteyLunch is excited to feature Dog Adventure Harmony, a RPG with heartfelt undertones inspired by Earthbound and Undertale. Tasteylunch also is developing an Untitled Barista Simulator, a diner dash inspired management game with an emphasis on speed and juice. Tasteylunch is proud of their delicious pixel artwork and banger music. The studio has been developing since 2020 with a dedicated team of 1 solo developer.

Ethan & Brae are two independent passionate developers working on the games they wish they could play ourselves. Their games focus heavily on innovation, movement, and purpose.

Ethan serves as the creative vision, designer, artist, and any other hat that needs wearing. Brae is the programmer, supporting the game on her off-hours while employed full-time at Inflexion Games here in Edmonton.

UAlberta Esports (July 21-24)

The University of Alberta Esports Association aims to create an active and competitive gaming community within the North American collegiate gaming and Esports scene.
They hope to create a fun environment for both competitive and casual gamers, integrating the University of Alberta in Competitive Esports across multiple games. They love holding events, tournaments and game nights.The club is open to all gamers and any skill levels!

Retro Reactor (July 25-27)

Retro Reactor Games was founded on the belief that great games don’t need to be complex to be thrilling. Established by Danilo Barbosa in 2015, originally in Brazil and now based in Spain, the studio draws from the energy of retro games, the spectacle of cinema, and the immediacy of arcade action to create experiences that are both intense and inviting. The studio’s standout title, One Strike, exemplifies this philosophy—delivering the heart-pounding excitement of a cinematic duel in a single moment of decisive action.

Room 322 Games (July 25-27)
Edmonton
Soul Riders is a game about fast paced multiplayer fun. Players take control of one of many ghost friends as they compete in a variety of vehicle based challenges. All of these challenges are played in the core game mode; Midnight Mischief. In this mode, players will be dropped onto an open map. From there players must seek out a vehicle that’s to their liking and upgrade it as much as possible before time runs out.

The Games Den (July 25-27)
Edmonton
The Games Den is the University of Alberta's game development and design club. Their members share a common ground and community glued together by a love for the artistic medium of games. They organize talks from professional developers and students alike, we host game jams and space for game development. The Games Den offers students a platform to showcase their work to the public and gain feedback for further growth. Here, we talk, make and play games.

ThirtyThree Games (July 25-27)

ThirtyThree is an indie game studio hailing from chilly Edmonton, Canada. We're best known for making the action-runner ATOMIK: RunGunJumpGun, and we're currently working on a new twitch platformer called Rebounder.

Story City is a GPS app to explore cities by being the hero of your own adventure. Solve clues, uncover mysteries, and in 2025/2026 be a beta tester for our Universal Adventures - interactive experiences that can be placed in any city in the world!

The Game Creator Space at NAIT is a place for programmers, artists, designers, and writers of any level to come together and further their skills.
