They are a remote-first, technology agnostic organization and have the capabilities to handle everything from art direction, video game console development ports, game development, enterprise application development, web application development and everything in between.
Room 322 Games

Soul Riders is a game about fast paced multiplayer fun. Players take control of one of many ghost friends as they compete in a variety of vehicle based challenges. All of these challenges are played in the core game mode; Midnight Mischief. In this mode, players will be dropped onto an open map. From there players must seek out a vehicle that’s to their liking and upgrade it as much as possible before time runs out.

Legumi is a retro-styled adventure game about eating beans and finding true happiness.
Based off of an original board game idea, Legumi features classic artwork inspired by the creator's childhood designs.

Will-o-Works

Will-o-Works is an indie game studio based out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The studio was founded by two queer women, and focuses on the development of character-driven action games. Drawing inspiration from everything from Touhou Project to lolita fashion, Will-o-Works creates unique games that blend disparate genres, including the danmaku-detective Star Apprentice series.

Only By Midnight is a Canadian indie game company that believes making games should be fun. Our talented team brings together art, story, and mechanics to craft games that tell a story and have fun doing it. OBM was co-founded by serious video games veteran Andrew Czarnietzki and sci fi/fantasy editor Jen Laface. OBM's first video game, Curved Space, released mechanical space spiders into the universe in 2021. The team is currently working on our follow-up game, negot•Ai•te.

WhaleFood Games is a Brooklyn-based one man game company. Founded in 2013 by Jonah Wallerstein, WhaleFood Games strives to create games that are fun and easy to learn but difficult to master.
WhaleFood Games released Too Many Snakes for iOS and Android in 2014 to rave reviews by friends and family. With the next game in the works, KungFu Kickball, WhaleFood Games hopes to reach a slightly larger audience.

Crenel and Merlon Games is an indie game development studio based in Lethbridge, AB. Their team is currently hard at work on "Schooled", a multiplayer online party game set in the wild and chaotic halls of a school. Since late 2020, they’ve been crafting vibrant and charming games that provide players with unique and unusual experiences.
Variable Eye Games

Variable Eye Games is a group of highly talented students that came together with the goal of making Within The Vault. While the original project was for the capstone in the University of Alberta's certificate in computer game development, the studio has stuck together and continues to work on the project. Stay tuned for any future announcements and upcoming projects!

RED IRON LABS is a small studio hustling in Alberta to make technology accessible to all. We view technology as an extension of our community centered activism where we have the opportunity to create welcoming, inclusive, accessible spaces for all through our games, projects and VR simulations. Gaming is in our DNA and we have leveraged our skillset to apply game theory to educating and creating meaningful experiences.

PolyHobby is a small team that began working together in 2015. After publishing their first game, Steak Stack, in 2017 the group set their eyes on their newest game - PowerPlay. An ode to the hockey loving heritage of the City of Edmonton, PowerPlay is exactly what the modern day hockey fan is looking for.

Wirescribe is a small, New York City indie game development studio founded by Valentina Stanislavskaia and in business since 2016.
Wirescribe likes to make games that explore weird worlds and tell compelling stories.

Milo Productions Inc was founded by husband-and-wife creative team, Michael Milo and Flordeliza Dayrit, when they realized as parents that there was a desperate lack of entertainment content that would empower and guide their young children to understand and appreciate the same principles they held. Time Hoppers: The Silk Road fills this need in children’s entertainment by providing a high-quality adventure experience that players of all ages, genders and cultural backgrounds can enjoy.

A solo hobbyist developer working on a VR platformer game. Roll is a unique VR platformer where you move by rolling around in a hamster ball. Race around obstacles, Bounce over precarious gaps, and Speed over steep ramps in this chaotic new Physics based game.
Starchart-Interactive

A small indie team building Dominus Galaxia, a 4X space strategy game with a high strategic depth-to-noise ratio, inspired by the classic masterpiece Master of Orion.
DG features a fast-paced strategic layer combined with full fledged tactical combat, an infinite semi-random tech tree, robust modding support, plenty of gameplay customization options including ship crafting, as well as hotseat multiplayer.
The Frozen Machine

The Frozen Machine is an independent game development studio based out of Edmonton, Alberta. After studio heads Adrian, Alex and Raiford met while taking courses at the North Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), they realized they all enjoyed multiple aspects of game development; from art, to programming, to design. With several games under their belt now, they look forward to showing off their newest ones at GDX.
RPS Royale

Small indie studio from Alberta building massively multiplayer and social experiences. RPS Royale is the first experience being built with a collaboration between Scott and Jace (Schadenfreude Studio) bringing Rock, Paper, Scissors to the masses.

B10CK is a pixel horror game anthology spanning multiple eras of retro gaming. Play as different characters investigating the demonic entity known only as the Burlap Beast.

YANCY is an NES style action adventure that follows a small protagonist in an open world full of danger, swords and rewards. YANCY builds off the original Legend of Zelda, with similar combat mechanics and scale, but with more unique content, less obtuse puzzle design, refined controls, and modern design sensibilities.

Pondscum is an Edmonton based, handmade jewelry and accessories designer and producer. Founded in 2020 during the beginning of the global pandemic, Pondscum has continued to grow and show at multiple shows in the Edmonton region.

Triboards is a maker studio that creates keycaps, keychains, and stickers around gaming and anime culture. You can catch Triboards at almost any large show in Alberta and beyond thanks to their unique offerings and very cute artistic style.
H & K Art Booth

H & K are Keenan and Hunter, two local Edmonton artists that specialize in concept art and illustration! They primarily sell video game and comic art such as posters and stickers but are looking to break into the art industry full time. Also members of the gaming community, they have participated in local tournaments in the past!
