WE'RE BUILDING
A BETTER
GAMES INDUSTRY.
We are Interactive Arts Alberta (IAA), a non-profit organization dedicated to growing capacity for games culture and game development in the Canadian province of Alberta.
While we are rooted in Alberta, we are committed to inclusivity and in breaking down barriers to industry participation all over the world. We believe in being a part of building a better games industry. We invite you to come to Alberta to connect with our community of talented game creators, passionate game players, and pioneering trailblazers, to celebrate interactive arts in whatever form it may take.

PLAY SOMETHING NEW
Interactive Arts Alberta organizes the annual regional Steam sale for Alberta. Participant calls happen each year and all studios located in Alberta are welcome to submit their games.
Created and managed by Craig Pfau, Alberta Makes Games is an invaluable website that tracks Alberta game development studios, games in progress, community groups, and post-secondary institution programs.
IAA is proud to support Craig's work and encourages those interested in the Alberta ecosystem to look through this website.

COMMUNITY FEATURE

AREA 42
Area 42 Games is a small studio comprised of a team of aliens who also like to make games! They each come from very different backgrounds, and have rather unique identities from each other, but they all have come together as a team to pursue their dreams. They're still new in the industry, but are working hard to improve themselves every day! And don't forget to wishlist their upcoming game, The Meaning of Auri.

SNACKO
Driven away by the cost of living, you and your childhood friend set off with the goal to turn things around and start a new life. Explore, gather, and build up the town from scratch into a place you'll be proud to call "home"!

LGDG
Lethbridge Game Developers Guild supports Lethbridge and surrounding area. The community is fantastic and holds monthly meet ups to introduce new folks to the community and get to know one another. Make sure to check out their Discord and get involved.
